Iris Nason, M.Ed., Owner & Facilitator
Iris Nason has been bringing her enthusiasm and joy of movement to children through interactive and engaging classes since 2001. Iris earned her Master's Degree in Education from Lesley University specializing in Creative Arts in Learning. Growing Arts classes have been offered in libraries, preschools, camps, after school programs, studios, parks and recreation centers and elementary schools in Newton, MA, Boulder, CO and Portland, OR
"Iris' Creative Movement class gives the children the freedom to explore and learn how to move their bodies in a safe, non-judging and comfortable environment. While having fun is the emphasis of her class, the children are also learning how to share, listen, take turns and communicate with each other in a positive way. As a teacher I get such a kick out of watching the children in action. They are enthusiastic, eager to learn and seem to be enjoying themselves so much. They can't wait and look forward to her class all week long. Iris is a huge hit at Homegrown, she definitely plays an important part in these kids' preschool experience.
